As we age, our memories begin to lose their edge. We forget things. And while it’s easy to look back on our young days as a source of great inspiration and self-discovery, it’s also easy to forget that the experiences we had were just that – experiences. The result of a lot of hard work and a lot of luck, yes – but also those of us who know that there is more than one way to capture nature. From the amateur photographer to the serious art student, there are plenty of ways to explore the world of photographhing. Here is a list of some tips for getting the most out of your outings with cameras:
Plan your trip first
One of the first things we do when we get home from nature is to plan our trip. Whether we are exploring new areas or simply want some time to myself, there are a few things that I always suggest that I pique my interest in nature. planning out your trip isn’t just about what you are going to see; it’s about what you are looking for. Take a look at these 11 hiking destinations to plan your first outdoor adventure. If you are just getting started, these destinations are ideal.
Take a nap before leaving
A great opportunity to decompress is to take a long, nap before you leave. It’s a good idea to take a few hours to yourself every so often; even just six or seven hours is a lot of fun. When you are in the Boosting Room at the Hotel Costar, heading to a nearby pool to sunbathe is a blast. There is nothing like a hot shower, a quick drink and a good read – together with nature’s sounds – to relax you. On my last day of class, we all headed to the hotel pool for a lazy soak in the pool’s tub.
There is nothing like being outside
It’s hard to explain why this is the most optimal time to visit a new place or experience a new culture, but in my case, it is. It’s also the time when everything starts to come together. You can take some time at home, unwind, relax and enjoy the fresh air. It’s always a great idea to bring some clothes on and some accessories, so you can comfortably move around the house while still having enough space to feel comfortable. If you want to stay inside, there are many good indoor places to stay in Costa Rica.
Don’t be afraid to ask for feedback
We all grew up with a lot of confidence. Whether it be how we acted or how we spoke, people will always be able to remember how we felt. It’s great to ask for help when you are new to a place or you just want some cheering up. You will always be more successful when you know that someone is there for you. If you are slightly shy or have a hard time talking to people, you can always ask a professional photographer for some support.
Don’t be afraid to ask for clarification
Some places in the world are pretty special and deserve a little explanation. Take, for example, Zanzibar. This is one of the most amazing places in the world – and only discovered by westerners. There are over 100 different languages spoken in the island country – and many of them are practically unknown. To get the full story on how this place is so special, you should definitely talk to people who work in the country.
Plan ahead
When we are in our teens, 20s or 30s, we start to become wiser beyond our years. We start to realize that everything we ‘see’ is an illusion. We start to realize that we are not really looking in the right place. We start to develop the ability to see things in different ways. A lot of us think that when it comes to nature, we will just have to take our pictures from above. In fact, many of us start to appreciate nature for what it is – a process of discovery and pain reduction. This is when we realize that it is very hard to get enough of. The more you experience nature the less you worry about it. What you are worried about is your images! So, plan ahead and get those shots of the world’s most amazing nature places.
Take some breaks
With the increase in activity and the number of tourists visiting the beaches in Central America, there has also been an increase in the number of viruses and bacteria. You can thank the same reason that Central America is such an incredible place to visit – it’s full of stories! We love to read about how fresh the sea is, how amazing the coral is or how beautiful the sand is. But the best thing to do while in central America is to take a break and enjoy the scenery. While you are at it, make sure to see the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. This is a must!
Don’t be afraid to ask for help
If you are a little shy or have a hard time talking to people, you can always ask a professional photographer for some support. Most of the time, it will be super helpful and make a world of difference in the process ofMaking your first ever photo. Your uncle will usually be able to help you out with some tips and techniques.
Don’t be afraid to ask for clarification
Most of the time, people will try to take your pictures without any explanation. It’s natural, it’s part of the fun. But some people are just naturally drawn to nature’s moods and actions. If you notice that your shots of nature don’t show up properly, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Most of the time, someone will be able to help you out. You just need to ask nicely.
Plan ahead
When you are in your 20s or 30s, you start to realize that everything you ‘see’ is an illusion. You start to appreciate the beauty of nature, the endless amount of it. You start to feel a sense of achievement when you complete projects as a team. You start to plan ahead. When you are in your 40s or 50s, you start to realize that everything you ‘see’ is real. So, plan ahead and make sure to look at your photos as if they were taken at a distance. You will be surprised how often nature will take up the slack that you used to leave behind.
